Corrosion Testing Services

 

1. Salt Spray Test:

  • Test Method: ASTM B-117

  • Description: Evaluates the resistance of coatings and materials to corrosion in a salt-laden environment by exposing them to a controlled salt spray.

  • Equipment Used: Salt Spray Chamber

2. Zinc Coating Test:

  • Test Methods: IS 277, IS 6745

  • Description: Measures the thickness and adherence of zinc coatings to ensure effective protection against corrosion.

  • Equipment Used: Coating Thickness Gauge, Salt Spray Chamber

3. Intergranular Corrosion Testing (ICC) Practice:

  • Test Methods: ASTM A262 'A' & 'E'

  • Description: Assesses the susceptibility of stainless steel to intergranular corrosion, a critical factor for materials used in corrosive environments.
